Overseas Survey Team

Overseas Survey Team is responsible for conducting collaborative surveys in oil/gas producing countries with their NOC's and/or Government Organization to contribute to the host countries' progress in their E&P activities. Through the surveys, we reinforce relations with oil/gas producing countries and also we collect technical information of the survey area which reduce their technical risks of the area. We also conduct in-house studies to discuss and choose new areas for survey as well as to provide Japanese E&P companies with technical information of the study area.

We carried out following surveys and studies in fiscal year (FY) 2003.
1) 3D seismic survey in Azadegan field area, Iran
In FY2003, acquisition, processing and interpretation of 3D seismic data were conducted and the survey ended in March 2004.

2) S-wave seismic survey in Cuitlahuac gas field, Mexico (see the location map below)
The survey started in October 2003 and G&G study based on the existing data was conducted in FY2003. This collaborative survey with PEMEX E&P is continued to FY2004.
